We just had girl's day which is when little girls get their traditional Japanese dolls out to play with and eat these sweets:

H let me play with her dolls which had been passed down to her. They were OK but no match for action man.
Carrying on with the childrens theme I have begun to teach some of them English despite my protestations to their parents that I have no experience whatsoever with children. We seem to get on OK and their happy.
Also we went to the Ghibli museum which celebrates the work of Hayao Miyazaki and the Ghibli studio who made the films like "Spirited Away" "My Neighbour Tottoro" and "Howl's Moving Castle". I've watched loads of these now to try to improve my Japanese. Very much fun indeed it was there although eventually all the children got to me with their irrational screaming and running around. This is a friendly robot from "Laputa".
