Japanissimo

The other day we dined at "Doma Doma" which is an izakaya restaurant meaning that they do lots of classic Japanese food as well as crazy variations on it and even mixing with Western dishes. Thus you may have a plate of Sashimi, a cheese fondue and a plate of sausages all in one meal.

The fun does not stop there. By no means. In fact we ordered Russian Roulette which comes as six delicious pork or srhimp steamed dumplings except that one of them is packed full of enough Wasabe to make your nose fall off. You can imagine the tension as a Deer Hunter style stand off ensued. It went down to the last one with me, my fate determined, galantly taking my medicine.

The same restaurant serves a mystery dish (just a covered dish in the photo)called "Bomb" and another restaurant does "Garlic Bomb".

Took the Seibu train line to the Seibu "Big Box" complex and ice skated in the Seibu rink and went bowling at the Seibu lanes and got it all half price because yesterday the Seibu Lions won at baseball. Seibu Seibu Seibu!

H, with her modest bowling velocities and small skating steps outshone me, with my reckless despatches and over ambitious skating strides, in both activities.

Over here I am much taller than everyone else and I don't seem to stop myself from going on Godzilla style rampages. Here I am about to eat the head of some poor soul after another day of sensless destruction.

Pharmacies: Did you know you can buy mouth trainers to improve your mouth shape? You can get a special cling film to wear to help you sweat off excess pounds. Also, you can buy nose enhancers which are clips that you wear at night to make your nose longer. Also, my student used to wear a clothes peg on her nose when she was small.

No wonder I'm such a hit with my resplendent snozzle!

She was stunned. We wrapped the whole tihng off with a Chinese meal and a big choccie cake with cream and fruit.

Passenger vehicle ownership in Japan is at around one car for every two people but in Tokyo it is only one car for every four people due to lack of investments in rural infrastructure and the opposite phenomenon in the cities. Even so there are so many cars about in Tokyo that they have to park on top of vending machines!
